2nd CEFORM Programme

2nd CEFORM

October 7-9, 2009

Hotel Helikon, Keszthely,

Lake Balaton, Hungary

2nd CEFORM

Central European Forum for Microbiology

Organised by the Hungarian Society for Microbiology, the Croatian Microbiological Society, and the Foundation of the Hungarian Society for Microbiology

Hosted by the Hungarian Society for Microbiology

October 7–9, 2009

Hotel Helikon, Keszthely,

Lake Balaton, Hungary

D e a r C o l l e a g u e s ,

On behalf of the Presidium of the Hungarian Society for Microbiology and the Croatian Microbiological Society we would like to invite you to attend the 2nd Central European Forum for Microbiology (October 7-9, 2009) organized by the Hungarian Society for Microbiology with the help of the Croatian Microbiological Society and the Foundation of the Hungarian Society for Microbiology at Hotel Helikon, Keszthely on the coast of Lake Balaton (Hungary). This year is Charles Darwin's birth's and Joseph Haydn's death's bi-centenary, which makes us an opportunity to weave the scientific content of the conference around evolution, and enjoy the music of the baroque master at the social events of the congress.

The 1st Central European Forum for Microbiology (CEFORM) held at the same place in 2005 attracted participants from Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia and Slovenia. We hope that the 2nd CEFORM will appeal to even more colleagues than the previous one and will be a superb meeting in the beautiful west gate of Lake Balaton.

The official language of the Congress is English. The program will cover all major branches of microbiology and will include invited plenary lectures, introductory lectures (15 + 5 min), lectures (10 + 5 min), short lectures (7 + 3 min) and poster sessions.

We are looking forward to see you at the Congress and we hope that you will find it a stimulating scientific event and a happy personal experience.
